It provides an easy way to discuss informed consent, review emergency plans ahead of time, and have all pertinent information gathered in one centralized location so that anyone calling ahead to the hospital during a transport can do so clearly and quickly.
It also makes a great resource for birth/postpartum doulas, birth workers, and nurses to use to educate their clients.
